What We Do

Our Mission

To nourish the minds, hearts, and souls of Haitian and Dominican children in the remote villages of the Dominican Republic by sharing the Gospel and providing education.

Our primary focus areas are villages in the Puerto Plata Province where our Dominican staff visits weekly, sharing the Gospel, providing meals, and ministering to the needs of the community.

It is our objective to forge trusting relationships with the families and children of these remote villages. To help them realize, that no matter their circumstances, there is a God that loves them and, given the chance, will guide them and give them strength.

I tell you the truth. Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”

– Matthew 25:40

Who we are

Our founder, Bill Benson, upon retirement sailed into Luperon harbor and was confronted with the distressing poverty and incongruous hospitality of these humble people.

They are lacking the basics of humanity, simple employment, regular meals, and a good education; but most of all they want HOPE for the future.  Unlike the US, there is a severely limited number of social programs (none for the Haitian refugees) to provide relief.

Where we serve

  • In rural Dominican Republic poverty is a day-to-day fact of life. For Hatians, it’s even worse. Children are the real tragedy of this impoverished culture.

  • Our goals become straight forward. Feeding these children and sharing the words of Christ can make a huge difference in their lives.
